I do believe. . .

I DO BELIEVE IN SANTA!!!

Jackson, 6 weeks old, was very excited to see Santa for the first time. We went to the ward Christmas party and Santa came to visit. I was wondering how he was going to react and praying that he wouldn't spit up on Santa. I did not image that he couldn't keep his eyes off of Santa.

Santa was so happy to see a baby that actually liked him.

It was almost as if Jackson was saying, "I do believe in Santa
. . . and be sure to bring me some yummy formula and cute jammies!"

Merry Christmas from the Riggs!

For those in search of a good deal!

For enrichment the this month they went over ways to save a buck on groceries. I was skeptical at first and decided that I would pay the extra money to save me time on searching for the best deal on squash until they walked us through this website. I was so impressed that I have to share it with those who are in search of a good deal---and are too lazy to hunt around for it. It is called grocerysmarts.com here is the link:
http://www.grocerysmarts.com/utah/lists/splashg84csk.php.
This directs you to the grocery deals in utah, but you can pick any state and get your information. You click on what grocery store you want to shop in, and---this is the best part---it tells you what items are on sale and how good of a sale they are with a 5 star rating system. Sometimes you need coupons to get the deal but they are found in the sunday paper or provide a link to print off the coupon and the great thing about it is the website tells you when it is the best time to use the coupons. I have even got things for free by using this website! Simple enough. Just wanted to share the good news. Happy grocery shopping!

He's here!!!

Welcome Sweet Baby!
Jackson John Riggs
Oct. 26, 2008 at 4:06 p.m.
8 pounds, 20 inches
After 10 weeks of bedrest for preterm labor and 8 hours of labor, out little guy is finally here. It's amazing how much you can love someone in a matter of moments. In my opinion he is the cutest baby boy I've ever seen!

The Before . . .

. . . the after!

I feel great! Labor was a little rough because my epidural wore off for the last 20 minutes or so, but I love not being in preterm labor anymore and feel so much better now that he's in our arms. John and I feel so blessed to have a healthy baby. We were lucky for the first week I had to set my alarm to wake him for feeding, but since then he has caught on and we have had a couple sleepless nights. Oh, the joys of parenthood.

Here I am, love me!

Don’t you love my platinum blonde hair, I have plenty to spare! After my first bath, mommy and daddy had to blow dry my hair.

I was a ghost for Halloween! Do I look scary or what?

I love my new home!

Introducing the Riggs. . .

Meet the Riggs!
I believe introductions are in order. Although many of you know our little story, here is it in a nutshell. John and I met on a blind date, scary I know, but they actually do work! We have been happily married for over 2 years. I am a nurse and I work in Labor and Delivery and John is an accountant. Just when we were starting to settle in our little world we decided to shake things up a bit and add another to our little gang of 2. We are expecting a baby boy anyday, but tomorrow he will come, whether he likes it or not, by induction. We have loving family and friends and thought what a better way to keep in touch and show off our sweet baby boy!
What can happen when 2 crazies meet . . .

We had such a fun time getting to know one another. I guess that's the magic of a blind date!

Will you marry me? . . . a messy affair!

Just an hour before John proposed, I fell in a large mud puddle. I knew he loved me when he wiped of my muddy hands and feet and despite the disgusting pond smell asked me to be his wife . . . He proposed at Alexander Lake, it was absolutely perfect!

When 2 become 1 . . .
We were married in the Salt Lake Temple on December 29, 2005. It was a perfect day.

Some of our interests include . . .

Hiking . . .

On the Double O trail in Moab.

Shooting . . .

This is John's special interest. I tried to humor him and went shooting for my first time, I could hardly handle the gun!

Vacationing . . .

This is in Portland Oregon's Aquarium. I would not like to see the shark this came from!

Family . . .

Hanging out with Family. This is at the Bjarnson family reunion, the guys are shooting a potato gun!

And Friends . . .

These ladies are affectionately known as "The Girls."
